A Good Friday Sacrifice
Good Friday is about sacrifice.
Real sacrifice.
Not words.
Not posts.
Not something we pause for once a year and then move on.
Jesus didn’t give something convenient.
He gave everything.
Nothing held back.
And I keep coming back to that.
Because it’s easy for me to go through the motions of faith.
I can say the right things.
Show up when I’m supposed to.
Keep everything looking right from the outside.
But actually giving of myself?
To the point that I feel someone else’s pain?
That’s different.
That costs me.
If you would stand with me and ask it honestly, when was the last time I did that?
Because sacrifice always costs something.
Time. Comfort. Pride. Control.
The things I naturally hold onto.
Good Friday wasn’t symbolic.
It was real.
It was costly.
And if I’m going to follow Him,
it probably should be for me too.
So this Good Friday, I don’t want to just say the right things.
I want my life to reflect it.
To honor His sacrifice
by becoming someone who sacrifices.
No convenient commitment.
