Box Free
Most of my life has been lived in different roles.
I’ve been the drummer. The pianist. The producer. The worship pastor. I’ve been the software coder who built a business. The songwriter who became a blog writer.
I’ve been a father. And now, I’m a Pop-Pop to four kids who are my world.
Each role has shaped me. Each one added a layer. But none of them, by themselves, tell the whole story.
That’s the beauty of how God made us. He didn’t design us to stay one-dimensional. He built us with depth, with gifts that overlap, with passions that sometimes don’t make sense until you step back and see how they all fit together to fulfil His purpose.
Some things surface early, others take decades. But nothing is wasted. Every part has its place in the story God is writing.
Instead of, “Which box do I fit in?”
What if we asked, “What else has God hidden inside me that’s still waiting to come alive?”
The things that make you different aren’t liabilities; they’re the very things that make you God’s gift to the world.
So live in all of it. Embrace the layers. Step into the wide-open space He’s created for you. Then watch what happens when you stop trying to fit into that tiny little box.
