Our family has been going to Disney parks for way more years than I’d like to admit.
Some people visit once or twice.
Some people are Disney people.
If you’re a Disney person, you can spot another one instantly.
My wife is one for sure.
One thing Disney does better than almost anyone:
They create an experience.
An illusion based on an unrealistic reality.
Even the parts modeled after real places feel like fairy tales.
An escape from the ordinary.
It’s a carefully curated world.
All of the magic.
None of the mess.
But the real thing?
It’s different.
Less perfect.
But I think it’s even more beautiful.
Because in real life, the streets aren’t always clean.
The story doesn’t always stick to the plot.
And magic doesn’t happen on schedule.
The same is true for us.
We’ve Disneyfied our lives.
Facebook and Instagram are our Main Street U.S.A.—
a highlight reel where every frame is cropped, filtered, and edited
to look like the life we wish we were living.
But real life has unflattering angles.
Missed deadlines.
Tears behind smiles.
And some of its most magical moments
never make it to the feed.
If we only chase the curated version,
we’ll miss the imperfect, unfiltered,
undeniably real beauty right in front of us.
Learn to embrace imperfection.
Take the broken with the beauty.
Because if you can’t learn to love the mess,
you’ll never truly appreciate the magic.
If this encouraged you, would you share it with one friend who might need it too?
