Out of Season
It wasn’t supposed to snow yet.
The trees still held their color.
The ground wasn’t ready.
But as I drove through the hills of Tennessee last week,
the sky opened, and flakes began to fall.
It caught me by surprise.
The first snow of the season, early and uninvited,
yet somehow exactly what my soul needed to see.
God does that sometimes.
He moves outside our schedules.
He steps into moments we didn’t plan.
He sends beauty before the world thinks it’s ready.
We like to think blessings arrive at the perfect time.
After the waiting.
After the work.
After everything is prepared and in place.
But grace doesn’t follow our calendar.
It falls when Heaven decides.
The snow didn’t ask permission.
It just covered what was there.
It didn’t wait for a better season.
It simply arrived.
Maybe that’s what God is reminding me.
He can send peace before the storm passes.
Hope before the plan makes sense.
And unexpected beauty, even out of season.
