Player-Led
Player-Led
It’s football season.
Everyone talks about coaches and playbooks.
But ask anyone who’s been in a locker room,
the real difference shows up in peer-led leadership.
When a teammate holds a teammate accountable.
When the sidelines don’t need to enforce the standard,
because it's enforced inside the huddle.
That’s when a team becomes more than talent.
That’s when accountability turns into culture.
The same is true for us.
Leaders can set a vision.
Managers can enforce rules.
But the most powerful leadership
is when we hold each other to the standard.
We all need someone we trust in our lives
who will tell us when we’re veering off course.
Not to shame us, but to care enough to steer us back toward our center.
Not out of pride.
Not out of rivalry.
But out of respect for the mission we share.
Scripture says it this way:
“As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17).
We all need that voice beside us.
The one who won’t let us drift.
The one who pulls us back to the standard.
Because the teams that last,
and the lives that matter,
are built by people who refuse to let each other settle.
So grateful when friends share First Light.
Every share helps the message reach someone who might need it today.
