Stacking Days
I walked into a meeting recently with a tech company eager to show me their latest breakthrough.
Their pitch was smooth. Polished. Impressive enough to make you wonder how you ever lived without their solution.
But I’ve been around long enough to know better.
One thing I’ve learned about new technology is simple.
Disregard half of what they tell you and doubt the rest.
Not because they’re dishonest.
Because they haven’t earned trust yet.
They haven’t proven anything in the real world.
They haven’t taken the hit, fixed the bug, stood in the fire, or stayed through the weekend to make it right.
That only comes with time.
Trust is never built after one good meeting.
It’s built over time.
Stacked moment by moment.
Decision by decision.
The kind of history you can only write by showing up again and again.
Anyone can make a promise.
Anyone can paint a vision.
But only the ones who stay long enough to stack the days are worth following.
And if you’re struggling today, working hard to earn someone’s confidence, don’t back down.
Keep showing up.
Keep proving you are who you say you are.
Keep doing what you said you would do.
Because every steady step is building something you can’t see yet.
Every faithful moment is adding another layer.
And one day, the people around you will realize the truth.
You didn’t win their trust in a moment.
You built it with your life.
