Tell Your Story
As a kid, I grew up passing out tracts,
little folded leaflets with verses and a message about Jesus.
I’m not knocking it.
Anything that spreads the gospel is good.
But no leaflet is as powerful as your individual story.
Lately, I’ve noticed something. Somewhere along the way, we started trading our personal witness for a church invitation.
But Jesus never said, “Go invite them to church.” He said, “Go be my witnesses.”
An invitation is great.
But when was the last time you shared your story?
It’s one thing to say, "Come, let my pastor tell you about Jesus."
It’s another thing to say, "This is what Jesus did for me."
And you don’t need to be a Bible scholar.
Sometimes the most life-changing thing you can say is the simplest:
"One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see." (John 9:25)
Your story carries weight because it’s real.
People can argue with ideas, but not with what God has done in you.
Debate divides and alienates. Your story connects and resonates.
Tell people about your path.
The ups and downs,
the storms and the grace,
the real life and the miraculous.
So here’s my encouragement.
Don’t keep it to yourself.
I want to challenge each of you today.
Whether on social media, an acquaintance, or a co-worker,
Go tell your story!
Tell how Jesus found you.
Tell how He changed you.
Tell the before and after.
It doesn’t have to be polished or perfect.
Just tell it like it happened.
Because someone out there needs to hear it.
If you share it, let me know. I want to celebrate with you. #TellYourStory
