Over thirty years ago, I found myself in a season of frustration.
I’d worked hard and been promoted a few times in the company I was in.
However, I eventually hit a ceiling. I was doing good work, but advancement seemed to be shaped more by politics than contribution. And while everything within me wanted to push for recognition, something in me said, just keep showing up.
So I did.
Quietly.
Consistently.
Without trying to prove anything.
And I didn’t try to sabotage anyone either. I kept my head down and did the work. I honored the people above me, even when I disagreed. I gave my best, not out of strategy, but out of conviction. Because bitterness doesn't build anything worth keeping. And faithfulness isn't just about showing up, it's about how you show up.
And in time, the fruit became clear.
Not because I fought for it.
But because faithfulness tends to leave a trail that’s hard to ignore.
That season taught me a valuable lesson:
I don’t need to chase validation.
I don’t need to force perception.
I don’t need to try to expose leaders I have questions about.
Stay faithful, and let your life and your work speak for themselves.
Sometimes we think we need to do something big to make a splash. But really, most often it is continuing to do the right thing even when no one seems to notice. When progress feels slow and affirmation is silent, that’s when faithfulness becomes most powerful. It digs deep roots that no storm can shake.
We live in a world obsessed with highlight reels. But heaven keeps score in the unseen moments. Moments of integrity, endurance, and obedience.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
— Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
Your faithfulness doesn’t need a spotlight.
The loudest legacy is often the one whispered daily.
If this encouraged you, would you share it with one friend who might need it too?
