Charlie Kirk is gone.
A husband. A father. A good man.
His voice wasn’t flawless.
None of ours are.
But it was steady. Strong. Unafraid.
We live in a time when words are under attack.
Listening has been traded for shouting.
Understanding for accusation.
Discourse for rage.
Charlie stood in that storm.
He spoke.
And he let others speak back.
That is how it should be.
Words answered with words.
Ideas tested by ideas.
Never with bullets.
But too many leaders have chosen death.
Their rhetoric drips with contempt.
They turn opponents into enemies.
They baptize followers in hate and call it courage.
And their words do not stay words.
They become mobs.
They become fear.
They become blood.
Charlie’s death proves this:
Violence does not show conviction.
It robs conviction of its very voice.
And when the voice is gone,
we are all left poorer.
The death of a man is tragic.
But the death of honest dialogue is a mortal wound to us all.
If we honor Charlie, it won’t be with more rage.
It will be by rejecting the prophets of division.
By refusing the lie of hate.
By choosing the harder, holier way:
To speak truth.
To listen to those with whom we disagree.
To live by faith, love, and commitment to a cause greater than ourselves.
RIP Charlie Kirk
